Fire to stator but nowhere else.

I'm getting fire to my stator, but i'm not getting fire to my powerpack or my coils.Is there a way to test the stator? if so how? If it is not my stator, is there a way to test the powerpacks and how?

You can check with ohm meter coils should be closed thanks steve

What do you mean by coils should be closed? If they are getting fire, they should be open shouldn't they?
