i have 1988 3.0 mercruiser with alfa1 outdrive but my block is cracked, going to swap it with early 70s omc 3.0. wanted to know if i will have any problems with things linning up,and if im gona need any special tools?

Yes it will work the only thing you may have a problem with is the coupler your motor my have a one peice rear main and the old motor may have a two peice rear main so the fly wheel my not fit good luck steve.
