120 hp johnson running problem

Ihave a 120 hp johnson v4 that runs good when at home on rabbit ears and revs to past 2500 rpms no problem. when I put it in te water the motor wont go over 2500 rpms and it acts doggy(WONT plane out or gain speed). I have checked plugs , wires and fuel filter. ????? Help !!!

It sounds like you need to repair/replace your fuel pump. The diaphagms work well when not under load (at home) but they are failing when under load (at the lake). Thank you
