Temp gage not working

The water stream is fine so I know water is cooling motor.What wires do check? I see tan at the gage. Plus it might bethermastat

Can"t find it. Is it near top of motor. Want to pull it and replace it.

Check the temp sending uint first they are known to go bad good luck steve.

Hey Dockmaster,

The temp unit should be located somewhere on your cylinder head. It might be helpful to look up your motor diagram and check the cylinder head. Hope that helps!

my merc 225 opti gives me high temp warning howerver my temp never reqally exceeds 132 degrees all sorts of warning wistle some times... usually happens when in idle once get going warning disapears.u
