Loss of power

from 0 to 10mph moter has plenty of power but seems like lower unit is under stres.no way i could get a skier up.after 10 it seems to be ok.

You said from 0-10 motor has plenty of power, and you said after 10 it seems to be ok.  Can you clarify? And can you tell us what motor you have?

i have a 5.7v-8.motor has been tuned&carb.rebuilt,it wants to go,but the lower unit wont let it .as i said before,i cheked the brg.hsg.retainer bolts,this appears to be where the water is getting in.could something be binding causing these bolts to stretch or loosen up?.i replaced them & torq.to specs.the 1st.time
