I have a big problem. I have an 1987 OMC 2.3 L Stern Drive With a bad distributor. The repair shop is unable to find one to replace it with. I have a system that has points, and replacement seems to be obsolete. Every where I check I can not find one. I find all the repair and tune up kits but I am unable to find the replacement distributor. I have considered even doing a a conversion to an electronic ingnition system but I am unable to find those also. I have tried looking at the online catalog at Mallory and MDS. Do you have any suggestions. I may not be seeing the parts I need. The motor is sound accept for the distributor.
