mercury outboard power trim

i have a 115 hp mercury serial number 6525038 with power trim can you tell me what year it was manufactured ?? the next question is the trim unit lifts but will not stay up it used to stay except under acceleration then would go down now when lifted gravity pulls it down no visable leaks is there a relief valve bad or blown o ring or a rebuild kit for the trim unit available  thanks for any help you can give me

As fars as the power trim goes,you have a leak,or pump going out,low on fluid,or air in the system.

You can have a leak and not notice it, and it will affect the whole system.

Also make sure your manual release valve is tight.

Any further steps involve dissambleing and rebuilding.

You may find the rebuild kit here,....http://www.crowleymarine.com/parts.cfmget the more expensive one if you are going to tear it all the way down and replace the pump also.
