hi !I have a problem with my power pack. I got it replaced last spring and it went off again. it is a 90hp motor 87 V4 evinrude. What may be causing this problem?

I would guess you are having an issue with your rectifier/regulator assembly.

yes i would replace the rect. reg. or both if it has two. you may clean all conn. and grounds coming from stator and trigger assy

  • Hello, I recently bought a 1986 17' boat with a 1985 Evinrude 140 v4 90  degrees Looper. The first time I took her out had troble idling and after 10 minutes woudldn't go over 2000 rpms.It would die at Idle. I checked the compression ; all 4 cylinders at 90 lbs. should I rebuild the power head?
