General Warranty Procedures
All warranty claims must be initiated by calling Crowley Marine at 303-355-5555. If your product is within the warranty period we will issue a return authorization, or RA number. Please package up the item as best as possible, using the original packaging if it is still available and write the RA number in large letters on the outside of the box. We will provide return shipping within the 48 states. Once we receive the item we will evaluate it to determine if the problem is indeed covered under the warranty. If it is we will send out a replacement unit at no charge. If however the item is not covered under the warranty we can fix it at a discounted rate. In this case the customer would also be responsible for shipping both ways. We cannot honor the warranty on any items that have been disassembled or repaired by anyone other than Crowley Marine or OBR. Impact damage caused by hitting an underwater obstacle is not covered under the warranty.
Warranty Coverage
This warranty extends to the original purchaser only and commences upon receipt of product. Accordingly, this warranty is non transferable. Crowley Marine warranties its products as follows:
Remanufactured Powerheads - One (1) Year
Rebuilt Gearcase Assemblies - One (1) Year
All other Rebuilt Components - One (1) Year
New Powerheads - One (1) Year
New Gearcase Assemblies - One (1) Year
Any Part of this Crowley Marine product, remanufactured or supplied by Crowley Marine, and found in the reasonable judgement of Crowley Marine to be defective in material and workmanship will be repaired or replaced by Crowley Marine without charge for parts and labor. The product including any defective part therein must be returned to Crowley Marine, freight prepaid, within the warranty period. Crowley Marine will then execute the warranty procedures. After warranty claims are completed, Crowley Marine will execute shipment, prepaid, back to the purchaser. Crowley Marine 's responsibility in respect to warranty claims is limited to making the required repairs or replacements, and no claim of breach of warranty shall be cause for cancellation or recision of the contract of sale of any Crowley Marine product. Proof of purchase will be required by Crowley Marine to substantiate any warranty claim.
This warranty does not cover any product that has been subjected to misuse, neglect, negligence, or accident or that has been improperly maintained, operated, or installed. This warranty does not cover any damages to the product due to rust or corrosion.. This warranty does not cover any product that has been altered or modified in any way. In addition, this warranty does not extend to repairs made necessary by normal wear, or by the use of other parts or accessories which, in the judgement of Crowley Marine, are either incompatible or adversely affect the operation, performance, or durability of Crowley Marine 's product. Crowley Marine reserves the right to change or improve the design of any Crowley Marine product without assuming any obligation to modify any previous Crowley Marine product. All implied warranties are limited in duration to the specific warranty period.
All implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or otherwise are disclaimed in their entirety after expiration of the specific warranty period. Crowley Marine's obligation under this warranty is strictly and exclusively limited to the repair or replacement of defective parts, and Crowley Marine does not assume or authorize anyone to assume for them any other obligation. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you. Crowley Marine assumes no other responsibilities for incidental, consequential, or any other damages of any nature. Some jurisdictions do not allow this exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which may vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. In the event that a warranty claim is required outside the continental United States, with the exception of Alaska and Hawaii, there may be additional charges not covered under this warranty. These additional charges are the responsibility of the purchaser. Disassembly of any product sold by Crowley Marine without prior approval will void your warranty.
